I Can © 2017,
Puerto Vallarta, MX In honor of the passionate moments of confidence, in whatever form they manifest.
When I was 16, my family visited Mexico, and while gazing in wonder at all the vibrancy around me, my attention was held by the energy & what seemed like a confident stance of these tall/sturdy florals.
Do What Makes Your Soul Happy © 2017, East Peru
In honor of the self, soul and whole being, in its innate nature of seeking joy and individuality.
I was in Peru with my husband's family at an outdoor pool, a road trip away from where we were staying, and every square inch of that hazy, sun kissed, magical dust sprinkled place was covered in florals, wild and otherwise. I wanted something to remember the details of that moment, so I took this photo. As for the text, that is a decision making matrix I use in life, for life, to live my best life.
Nature Walks are Soul Walks © 2017, Ladysmith BC
In honor of the nostalgic and magical experiences felt and originated from our BC forests.
I took a photo walk around my parent's yard and was caught by the breathtaking beauty of bright light filtering through arbutus trees. Looking at the photo had me imagining an enchanted forest, almost Robin Hood-like in nature, and one made of limitless possibility.
Stay Strong © 2017,
Ladysmith, BC In honor of the strength needed and contained in one’s ability to try and keep moving forward.

Breathe the Wild Air
© 2017, Ladysmith, BC In honor of the wild, joyful and playful nature life brings out of us, when we connect and breathe in the surrounding beauty.
The title is a reference from one of my favourite books, The Ear The Eye and the Arm by Nancy Farmer, where a character hears their ancestor whisper, "breathe the wild air". This line causes the siblings to step outside into a futuristic Africa.
Eternal Love © 2017,
Victoria, BC In honor love: every part of that unyielding, ever present, unconditional feeling, whether it be for something that inspires, or someone unforgettable.
This photo was taken on a sunny day at Buchart Garden's. It was a warm day, glowing with light, and I liked the roses, lol. Later, it evoked a feeling of love that I wanted to lay out with the above text. Also, something about that garden gives me all the good feels.
Positive Change © 2017, Ladysmith, BC
In honor of all souls who’ve embraced positive change.
I looked up while driving and needed to pull over to fully take in the surreal view. I'm really into animal symbolism, so when I suddenly seen a huge flock of crows fly over my car and learned that they represent positive change, it turned my whole day around and expanded my perspective of perseverance, believing that good things come at unexpected times, in perfect timing.
